Forsendelse av verk 

For kunstnere som er tatt med i HIT-utstillingen og som skal sende fysiske verk til Haugesund Billedgalleri innen 20.02.2019:

Pakk arbeidene uten ramme, i rull.

Husk å fylle inn og printe ut Appendix 2 og 3. Appendix 2 festes på baksiden av arbeidet, Appendix 3 festes utenpå pakken. Sender du fra et annet land enn Norge, husk å fylle inn tollskjema.

Kun arbeider som er forsvarlig pakket og beskyttet (eksempelvis i solide, harde rør eller flate portfolio-mapper) aksepteres; i tillegg kan man ikke sende inn trykk som er innrammede.

SHIPMENT OF WORKS 

For the artists that are included in the HIT Exhibition and that are sending physical prints to Haugesund Billedgalleri by 20.02.2019:

The works are to be packed unframed, rolled up.

Remember to fill in and print Appendix 2 and 3. Appendix 2 are to be attached on the back side of your work, and Appendix 3 are to be attached on the outside of your parcel. Are you shipping your work from another country than Norway, remember to fill out documents for the customs.

Only works properly protected and packed (e.g. in sturdy and hard tubes, flat portfolio cases) will be accepted; in addition, one may not submit prints in heavy framing, framed works, with frames containing glass, passe-partout.

V. Procedure for Submitted Works

1. The procedure for submitted works for the HIT-Exhibition is as follows: Sending original works submitted for the competition by the participant by mail or courier service, at their own cost and expense, or delivering them in person to the HIT-festival Office in Haugesund. Original pieces of work must be submitted to the HIT festival office by 20.02.2019. The date of the transfer is the date of submission.

2. Submitted works should have labels [Appendix 2] on their backsides filled in using capital letters.

3.  The parcel should have a sticker on it saying “HIT 2019” and the note: “No commercial value” [Appendix 3]. If you are sending your parcel from a country outside Norway make sure to fill a customs declaration were you describe the content of the parcel and set the value for “No commercial value” / 0,-.

4. The parcel containing submitted works must include the following documents:
a) The completed and signed Entry Form [Appendix 1]
b) in the case of intermedial works (e.g. graphic installations), the submission should include a detailed description of the work(s) including their dimensions, precise visual documentation (complying with the DVD standard) and the specification of the multimedia equipment required for the correct display of the work(s).

5. Original works must be sent by 20.02.2019:
a) in person (the date of the works get delivered to the HIT head office is the date of submission)
b) by mail to the address of the HIT head office (the date of the postmark is the date of submission)
c) by courier services (the date of works delivery to the HIT head office is the date of submission)

7. The parcels which do not meet these conditions, will after the end of the exhibition be sent back at the Participant’s cost and expense or may be collected personally by the Participant in accordance with the schedule provided in our Rules and Regulations.

VI. Detailed information about parcels containing works:

1.  Due to applicable postal regulations, the longer side of the parcel that may be sent back following the end of the HIT Exhibition at the organizer’s cost and expense may not exceed 120 cm and the weight of the parcel may not exceed 3 kg. The parcel will be sent back in accordance with the schedule provided in the Rules and Regulations.

2.  The HIT festival will not be responsible for any damage to parcels during their transport to the HIT festival’s Office or as a result of packing the works by the participant in an incorrect manner.

3.  The HIT festival will make a description of the state of conservation of works immediately after their opening, and will promptly inform the participant about any damage caused during transport and send photo documentation of such damage.

4.  The HIT festival will not insure the return of the works.

5.  The HIT festival will not be responsible for any loss of the item during the return to the participant nor for any mechanical damage occurring during transport.
